I am number 1 with a bullet on the head drilling list. That means if someone drops off the list for ANY REASON, I will be called. The doctor I talked to in SF said people drop out all hte time; family/housing problems, transportation problems, they have a cold, they cut themselves...all kinds of reasons, big and small.
So I talked to Jennifer, who explained all of the calling, arriving, checking in stuff.
Then I talked briefly to my doctor who sounded like a 10 year old. He explained a little about what he was going to do (drill a hole in my head and then rummage about, like me looking for change in the bottom of my handbag). MY real concern was whether "they" were going to shave my head (maybe, maybe no---sometimes yes, sometimes partly, sometimes not). I'm not sure I want to hand my life over to a guy who can;t make a simple decision about shaving my head.
Obviously, he is NOT in touch with what is of prime importance to ME.
So here's hoping I get a call on Monday or Thursday. It's a six hour surgery, so I should get a lot of rest and if all goes well, I'll be home bald head and all by my birthday.

Hmmm. A dilemma. Do you want them to just shave part and do a comb-over? Or ask them to shave the whole thing and it can all grow back at the same time.
Obviously, I didn't have a choice. Mine just all fell out from the chemo. And I gotta tell you, IF you go for the whole head thing (which would be my choice), wear a hat. Winter is brutal on nekkid heads!
OK, the song made tears.
You will look good whatever happens.

Chloe, I'm continuing to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. As far as your hair is concerned, no matter what they decide to do, you'll start a new fashion trend! Will someone update us on when you've been called? And let's hope that the surgeon is having his best day ever!
Still praying for a successful outcome, bald or not. BTW, Magoo has a neat pattern should you need to wear something to cover a bald head.
Praying that you have a successful surgery and can get back to your hotel renovation business soon.
Christmas blessings to you and yours.
